Everyone strives for perfection and when we come up short, we are always so upset and disappointed in ourselves.  But look, the fact of the matter is… no one is perfect!  Chin up, pretty girl… because it is OK not to be the best at everything!

Looking for some practices to do in order to start dealing with the pressure to be perfect and what to do when you don’t feel like what you have done is good enough?  Read on…

  1. Quit with the negative thoughts. The next time you find yourself talking negatively about yourself, or even outwardly shaming yourself to others… just stop.  When you realize you’re doing that, change those words out with positive thoughts.  Think of things that are positive about you.
  2. Don’t blame yourself for everything either. Not everything that is wrong in the world or even with your life is your fault.  You have got to stop taking the fall for everything.  I understand it is so easy to beat yourself up, but once you get yourself down, it’s just so hard to make yourself realize how truly great and valuable you are.  You are beautiful, you are talented, you matter.
  3. Think of things you are doing right and surround yourself with positivity. Have you been eating healthier?  Focus on that and keep slaying your goals!  Have you been more kind to those around you?  Keep treating everyone with kindness and you will notice your environment grow to be more positive.
  4. Make your health a priority. I kind of touched on it in #3, but if you make your health your priority, you will all around feel better about yourself.  If you strive to be healthier, your body will thank you and your mind will also focus on more positive concepts than the negative.  Not only that, but working out reduces stress and reducing stress increases positivity in your life as well.

No one is perfect, and that is what makes us each unique.  Be you, and make sure that you aren’t too hard on yourself!  <3
